THE LION KING MOVIE BRIEFING STORY

 

"The Lion King" is a beloved animated film produced by Disney. The story takes place in the African savannah and follows the journey of a young lion named Simba.

Simba is the son of Mufasa, the king of the Pride Lands, and Queen Sarabi. Simba is next in line to inherit the throne and become the king after his father. However, Mufasa's brother, Scar, is jealous of Simba's position and desires to become king himself.

Alone and scared, Simba finds refuge in the lush jungle, where he befriends a meerkat named Timon and a warthog named Pumbaa. They teach Simba their carefree lifestyle, "Hakuna Matata," which means "no worries" in Swahili. Years pass, and Simba grows into a young adult lion.

Meanwhile, Scar has become the tyrannical ruler of the Pride Lands, with the help of a pack of hyenas. The once-thriving kingdom has now turned into a desolate wasteland under Scar's reign. Nala, Simba's childhood friend, discovers him in the jungle and informs him of the dire situation in their homeland.

Reluctantly, Simba decides to confront his past and reclaim his rightful place as king. With the help of Nala, Timon, Pumbaa, and other animal allies, Simba returns to the Pride Lands and engages in a fierce battle against Scar and the hyenas.

During the climactic fight, Scar admits to killing Mufasa, and Simba musters his strength to defeat him. Simba becomes the new king and restores balance and prosperity to the Pride Lands. The film ends with the animals rejoicing as Simba ascends Pride Rock, embracing his destiny and the circle of life.
